Bulk Larry’s Market Organic Large Flake Oats per 100g
Large oat flakes consist of hulled whole oat groats that have been pressed by large rollers into flakes. The groats are sized, toasted, and steamed to deactivate enzymes before further processing. The organic large oat flakes varies from a creamy yellow-white to a light brown colour, and may contain a few hulls.
Stir 1 cup flakes into 2 cups boiling water. Simmer covered for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
Oat flakes can be used to make hot cereal (porridge), cold cereals (such as muesli or granola), desserts and baked goods.
When stored in a cool (preferably less than 60˚F) and dry location (less than 70% humidity), shelf life is approximately 1 year.
